St. David's supports outreach projects including Episcopal World Mission,
McGregor African Mission, the South Oakland Shelter, Haiti Outreach Mission,
the Presiding Bishop's Fund for World Relief, and Open Hands Pantry.
Our Guilds (St. Anne's and St. Martha's) and other organizations (Daughters
of the King) are also committed to using their funds for the church's
outreach. "Outreach Envelopes" are available in the vestibule for individual
contributions to specific projects through the parish. Some of the Adult
Forum programs each year give parishioners an opportunity to learn about
some of the outreach programs they are or could be supporting with time as
well as treasure.
Parents of Murdered Children
Is a support group and meets on the second Thursday of each month at St.
David's.
Alcoholics Anonymous and Alanon
These groups meet twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday evenings) at St.
David's. Their meetings are open to all in the parish and the community at
large who need their services. St. David's is pleased with our long
relationship with these fine organizations.
St. Martha's Guild
St. Martha's is a service group committed to carrying out the Lord's work as
members of our parish family as well as Christ's family in our community,
nation, and world at large. Projects within St. David's range from cleaning or
redecorating specific areas of the building to hosting various receptions and
parties.
St. Anne's Guild
Meets for lunch and program at 12:30 pm on the second Tuesday of each
month.

This outreach program, began in 1998, is dedicated to helping the people and
children of Mirebalais, Haiti - a mountain town approximately 50 miles from
Port-au-Prince, Haiti. St. Davids, along with other Catholic, Episcopal, and
Baptist churches, provides health care, education, and other services with
our partner churches in Mirebalais - St. Louis Catholic and St. Pierre
Episcopal. Our mission team, made up of doctors, dentists, nurses, and lay
people from the member churches as well as doctors and medical students
from Port-au-Prince, visits Mirebalais once each year. Contact the church
office for more details or visit the HOM web site:
www.haitioutreachmission.org. Donations to support this mission work are
always welcomed.
South Oakland Shelter
Click here for the 2007 South Oakland Shelter report and photos.
The South Oakland Shelter organization provides shelter, food, and counsel
to some of the homeless in south Oakland county. Each year St. David's
hosts the South Oakland Shelter for one week during which time parishioners
act as hosts, drivers, cooks, and launderers. Our volunteers are encouraged
to interact with our guests to make them feel welcomed. Donations are
always welcomed to support the operation of the shelter program. St.
David's is a charter member of this organization.
McGregor African Mission

of the Episcopal Church in Kenya - Serving in Kenya and Madagascar -

Todd, Patsy, Corbi, and Charese, have been People Reaching People since
1991. Patsy, author of A Guest in God’s World (a personal memoir of their
work in Madagascar), is manager of St. Julian's Centre. This retreat and
conference centre offers a beautiful and serene environment for refreshment,
renewal, retreat and recruitment. Todd is Director of Mission and Evangelism

Evangelism, and Leadership at St. Paul’s United Theological College in Limuru,

to five nomadic unreached people groups.
We at St. David's are personally interested their mission work because the
McGregor's are related to one of our parishioners.
Besides visiting our web page on their mission work, we invite you to visit
